Girl's Clothing Recalled by My Michelle Due to Risk of Lead Exposure
Units: About 90,000
Hazard: The jewelry and decorative trim attached to the girl's garments contain high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Description: This recall involves girl's tops and dresses sold in sizes small to extra large and 7 to 16. The garments were sold in various styles including: tops with beaded necklaces attached to the collar and tops with metallic beads attached to the collar. All styles of the tops and dresses have a black tag on the collar with pink print that reads "mymichelle."
Sold at: Burlington Coat Factory, Dillard's, J.C. Penney, Kohl's, Army and Air Force Exchange (AAFES), K & G Fashion Superstore and other retail stores nationwide from January 2011 through March 2011 for about $38.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled garments away from children and contact My Michelle for information on receiving a full refund.

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Recalls Children’s Watches Due to Risk of Skin Irritation
Name of Product: Children’s Light-up Watches
Units: About 1,200
Hazard: Watch battery current interacting with nickel in the watch’s stainless steel back can cause skin irritation and/or burning sensations to children who are allergic to nickel.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received six reports of children receiving skin irritation or burning sensations while wearing the watch.
Description: This recall involves Buzz Lightyear, Tinker Bell and Lightning McQueen brand light-up watches. The Buzz Lightyear watch has a blue band with a blue outline on the face of the watch. The Tinker Bell watch has a purple band and purple crystals on the face of the watch. The Lightning McQueen watch has a red band and a red outline on the face of the watch. Each model watch is sold separately and is intended for children ages three years and older. All have a light up function that enables a child to press a button to illuminate colorful lights on the dial of the watch. A tracking code is engraved on the back of the watch, as well as printed on the back of the packaging. The tracking code is: K130-6377-7-10187.
Sold at: DISNEYLAND® Resort stores in California, WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort stores in Florida, The Treasure Ketch and Cast Member shops on the Disney Cruise Ship, and Disney’s Earport Shop and The Magic of Disney Shop located at the Orlando International Airport in Florida from November 2010 through January 2011 for about $30.

The tag and packaging have "Produced for Daiso Japan" on either the front or back.

Not so charming: Holiday bracelets laced with cadmium

Hazard: The bracelets contain high levels of cadmium. Laboratory analysis determined that following a 24-hour incubation in simulated stomach acid, over 20,000 micrograms of cadmium were released from the snowman alone. Cadmium can be toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Description: This recall involves Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer brand children’s Christmas and winter-themed bracelets. The two styles involved in this notice are the Bumble Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. The bracelets were sold with winter and Christmas-themed charms including a snowman, Christmas tree, candy cane and snowflake.
